⏳ One Minute NLP
Self-Love
Self love is all about recognising your own value and treating yourself with kindness and understanding. It starts with the way you speak to yourself—replacing harsh self-criticism with gentle, encouraging words. Imagine looking in the mirror and acknowledging not just your strengths, but also the qualities that make you uniquely you. In NLP, you can reprogram your inner dialogue through techniques like visualisation and anchoring. Picture a moment when you felt truly proud and content, and then anchor that feeling with a simple gesture or phrase. Over time, this practice helps you develop a positive mindset that carries you through challenges. Remember, self love isn’t selfish; it’s essential for a balanced, fulfilling life. When you nurture yourself, you’re better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs and share your best self with others.

What is Inside You?
In a grand estate surrounded by lush gardens, a wealthy merchant named Rajan summoned his loyal servant, Anil. Rajan had all the wealth one could ask for, yet he rarely spared a thought for those who served him.
That evening, he handed Anil a woven basket filled with half-rotten fruits—bruised apples, overripe bananas, and a faint sour smell hanging in the air.
“Here, take this,” Rajan said, waving his hand dismissively. “Do whatever you want with it.”
Anil, a humble man with kind eyes, took the basket with a grateful nod. “Thank you, master,” he said sincerely, despite knowing the fruits were barely edible. Without a hint of disappointment, he carried them away.
That night, Anil carefully sorted through the basket. He picked out the few salvageable pieces and shared them with the other servants, making sure nothing went to waste. Then, he scrubbed the basket clean, removing every stain of decay.
The next morning, he walked into the garden, where jasmine, marigolds, and roses bloomed in vibrant colors. He handpicked the freshest, most fragrant flowers and arranged them beautifully in the same basket. The sweet scent of fresh petals replaced the sourness of the previous day.
With a warm smile, Anil returned the basket to Rajan. “Master, this is for you,” he said, holding it out with both hands.
Rajan frowned, puzzled. “Why have you returned the basket filled with fresh flowers when I gave you half-rotten fruit?”
Anil bowed his head slightly, his voice calm yet profound. “Sir, I can only give you what’s inside me,” he said gently. “We can only serve others with what we are filled with.”
So, the question is — what’s inside you?
📖 Hook from the Book
“The key to meaningful work is in the decision to keep returning to the efforts you find important. Not in getting everything right every time.” — Cal Newport, Slow Productivity: The Lost Art of Accomplishment Without Burnout
🎬 Movie Motivation
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.” This dialogue from the movie Dune resonates with NLP techniques aimed at overcoming emotional barriers. By acknowledging fear yet not allowing it to dominate your thoughts, you maintain clarity and control over your mental state.
