⏳ One Minute NLP

The Power of the Pause

In a heated moment, words often fly faster than thoughts. That’s when misunderstandings spark and regrets follow.

NLP teaches us the gift of the pause. A simple breath. A brief silence. A conscious choice to respond, not react.

That pause gives your brain space to notice—What am I feeling? What do I really want to say?
It’s like stepping off the stage for a moment to reset the scene before stepping back on with clarity.

Next time you feel triggered, try this: pause, breathe, then speak with intention.
You’ll find the conversation shifts—from conflict to connection.

Because sometimes, the shortest pause creates the biggest change.

🔮 Meta Magic

What If You Weren’t Alone?

A traveller’s car once slipped into a ditch.
A farmer arrived with his horse, Buster, to help.

He hitched Buster up and shouted:
“Let’s go Bonnie! Pull!” – Nothing happened.
“Let’s go Kiko! Pull!” – Still no movement.
“Let’s go Rudy! Pull!” – Silence.

Finally, he called out,
“Let’s go Buster! Pull!”, and suddenly, the horse dragged the car out with all his strength.

Puzzled, the traveller asked,
“Why did you call your horse by three wrong names before his own?”

The farmer smiled:
“Because Buster is blind. If he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn’t even try.”

The next time you’re stuck in a “ditch,” list three sources of support—your mentor, your future self, your faith/team. Say out loud: “Let’s go, [Name 1], [Name 2], [Name 3]—pull!” Watch how your energy changes when your mind believes you’re pulling with a crew.

📖 Hook from the Book

“The Principle of Priority states (a) you must know the difference between what is urgent and what is important, and (b) you must do what’s important first.” — Steven Pressfield, The War of Art

🎬 Movie Motivation

“Hum sab apni jagah sahi hain.” Translated to We are all right in our own place.” This dialogue from the movie Tamasha encourages third perceptual position — recognising the validity of multiple perspectives.
