Letting Go of the Past
Holding onto past mistakes, regrets, or painful experiences can weigh you down. NLP offers a simple yet powerful way to release emotional baggage and move forward. One technique isย dissociationโinstead of reliving a past event, imagine watching it as a distant movie. See it in black and white, shrink it down, and let it fade. The further you push it away in your mind, the less emotional charge it holds.
Another method isย reframingโinstead of askingย โWhy did this happen to me?โย shift toย โWhat did this teach me?โย Every experience, no matter how painful, holds a lesson that can make you stronger.
Letting go doesnโt mean forgettingโit means freeing yourself from the pastโs grip. The more you focus on the present and future, the lighter and more empowered you become. Release what no longer serves you and step into the life you truly want.

๐ฎ Meta Magic
Prove Wrong or Move On?
Professor Bennett was known for his unconventional methods. His students at Westbridge University were used to his philosophical riddles, but today was different. As they filed into the classroom, they found him standing beside his desk, an old wooden chair placed deliberately on top of it.
Without preamble, he picked up a piece of chalk and wrote on the board in bold letters: “Prove that this chair does not exist.”
Murmurs rippled through the room as the students exchanged puzzled glances. Some frowned in concentration, others smirked, already crafting their arguments. The clock began ticking, and one by one, they hunched over their desks, scribbling furiously.
Jason, a logical thinker, opted for a scientific approach. “Matter is made up of atoms, which are mostly empty space. If the chair is mostly emptiness, does it truly exist in a solid state?”
Across the room, Thomas filled pages with intricate reasoning, pulling in concepts from Kant and Berkeley. His handwriting was rushed but deliberate, as if each word carried immense weight.
Then there was Daniel. He simply glanced at the board, smiled, and wrote two words on his paper before standing up. The entire room watched as he casually handed his sheet to Professor Bennett and walked out.
Days later, Professor Bennett returned the graded papers. Daniel had topped. The whole class wanted to know what did Daniel write on paper, so the professor asked him to spill the beans.
โI wrote-โwhat chair?โโย Daniel replied.
In life, we often spend too much time battling illusionsโworries, doubts, fearsโthat only exist because we acknowledge them. Sometimes, the simplest way to overcome an obstacle is not to fight it, but to refuse its existence altogether.
So ask yourself:ย What chairs are you still trying to prove wrong, when you could simply move on?ย
