One Minute NLP – Setting and Achieving Your Goals
Goal setting is done by the conscious mind, whereas Goal getting is done by the subconscious mind. The NLP process of Goal Setting, called as Well Formed Outcomes works on the integration of the conscious and subconscious mind, not just by setting SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound), but also using visualization, where you imagine yourself successfully completing your goal. Focus on how it feels and what it looks like to have achieved it, reinforcing your commitment.
NLP also emphasizes breaking larger goals into smaller, manageable steps, making them easier to tackle. Additionally, using positive language when framing your goals (e.g., “I will” instead of “I hope”) can boost your confidence and motivation.
By combining clear goals, visualization, and language shifts, NLP helps create a mental framework for success.

Meta Magic – Calmness is the New Wisdom
“Wonderful collection! I’ll take this pair. Please pack them up, young man!” Mr. Kapoor’s voice carried the unmistakable air of wealth and authority. Rony, the new salesman, smiled and nodded.
“Oh no, I seem to have forgotten my wallet at home,” Mr. Kapoor said as he searched his pockets at the payment counter, leaving both Rony and the store owner confused.
“Could you pack the shoes for me? I’ll come back tomorrow to pay. I need them urgently today for an important office meeting.” Mr. Kapoor spoke casually, as if it was usual to make such requests.
Although the owner had heard of Mr. Kapoor’s affluence, he wasn’t willing to take any chances. When Rony sought his guidance, the owner said, “Use your own judgment, my son. Find a way to keep him happy, but make sure you secure the payment.”
Rony was perplexed, torn between his instincts and reason. Eventually, he let his heart lead and decided to pack the shoes.
The next day, Mr. Kapoor returned with a friendly smile and waved his wallet. “Rony, I noticed you accidentally packed two shoes of different sizes. One is my size — 8, but the other is a 7. Could you please swap it out while I settle the payment?”
Rony quickly complied, and as he did, he glanced over at the owner, who smiled proudly. Rony had shown calm and used his discretion to navigate the situation wisely.
My question to you is: What’s your calmness quotient out of 10?
Hook From The Book
“Once I saw the kid in me, I started seeing kids in other people—all dressed as adults, playacting at being grown-up. But I saw through the performances now, to the frightened children beneath.” ― Alex Michaelides, The Fury
Movie Motivation
“Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.” (Translated to “The movie isn’t over yet, my friend.”) This quote from Om Shanti Om reflects the NLP principle of resilience and perseverance, where the story isn’t finished until you decide it is.
