“People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas.” — Steve Jobs

⏳ One Minute NLP

The Questions You Ask

Your mind is like a search engine—it answers whatever question you type in.

Ask “Why does this always happen to me?” and your brain will dig up reasons to confirm you’re stuck.
But ask “What can I learn from this?” or “How can I turn this around?” and suddenly, you’re opening doors to solutions.

In NLP, we call this the power of transformational questions. The quality of your life often mirrors the quality of the questions you ask yourself.

So next time you’re faced with a setback, catch yourself. Don’t ask questions that trap you in the problem. Ask the ones that move you towards possibility.

Because the mind always answers. The real power lies in what you choose to ask.

🔮 Meta Magic

Applause vs Choice – What’s The Wright Choice?

At the turn of the 20th century, flying was still a fantasy. The idea that humans could lift off the ground and soar through the skies sounded almost impossible. But a few brave inventors around the world were racing to make it real.

One of them was Samuel Pierpont Langley, a highly respected scientist and Secretary of the Smithsonian. With $50,000 in government funding (an enormous sum back then), a team of the best minds, and the full attention of the press, Langley was widely expected to be the man who would give wings to humanity. When he tested his “Aerodrome,” the world held its breath. Instead, it crashed straight into the Potomac River. Twice. Humiliated, Langley gave up the chase.

Far away in Dayton, Ohio, two brothers quietly worked on the same dream. Orville and Wilbur Wright weren’t famous. They didn’t have funding, formal education, or experts on their side. What they had was relentless curiosity and a bicycle shop to fund their experiments. They built small gliders, tested wings in a homemade wind tunnel, and learned from every failure. On 17 December 1903, on the windy dunes of Kitty Hawk, their simple Flyer lifted off — and stayed in the air long enough to change history.

And Langley? Once the Wright brothers flew, he disappeared from the race. He didn’t try again, didn’t improve his design, didn’t even acknowledge the brothers’ success. When the applause was gone, so was his interest.

✨Here’s the Meta Magic Moment

  • Langley was chasing applause, the Wrights were chasing a cause.

  • Langley wanted one big moment, the Wrights kept building through small experiments.

  • Langley had status, the Wrights had the right state of mind.

When you’re clear about why you’re doing something, and you keep making those micro-shifts, even the sky can’t stop you.

“The race is never about who has more resources. It’s always about who has more resolve.”

📖 Hook from the Book

“The role of a leader is not to come up with all the great ideas. The role of a leader is to create an environment in which great ideas can happen.” — Simon Sinek, Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action

🎬 Movie Motivation

“Pata nahi log kaise jee lete hain bina kuch mehsoos kiye.” Translated to I don’t know how people live without feeling anything.” This dialogue from the movie Tamasha reminds us to experience life with our senses.
